Each year, the Department of Anthropology recognizes an alum whose work makes a difference in the lives of those around them and whose outstanding contribution to the field of applied or practicing anthropology sets a shining example for future UNT Anthropology alumni.
Selection criteria for this award include but are not limited to alumni who contribute to policy, hold a leadership role in their organization, participate in advocacy or activism, teach or make an educational impact in their organization, practice applied research as part of their daily work, and perform consultation with recommendations leading to implementation.
